Thread: Request msg delivery notification

Hi, i have trouble with sms texting. I need for every text msg go and select getting a delivery msg, but i wanna to get it automatically, instead of manual. could u plz help me? thanks a lot.

Go to SMS/MMS and then to Menu > Tools > Options.
Tap SMS/MMS, in the check boxes, select "Request delivery notification". I don't really like this feature because the delivery notification is a text message and is stored like a regular SMS. It would be good if the notification is just temporary and will be away whenever you are notified. I don't think there is a work around for this yet. I don't know.

There is no work around. SMS notification is like email delivery/read receipt - it's returned as a message. If you don't want to keep the message after being notified, just delete it!

Is there anyway for the device to delete the delivery notification after you read it, instead of having to delete it manually every time? I got a Nokia which I get delivery notification for every SMS I sent, but its not stored as a SMS and it works great this way caz I don't have to delete nothing.

I like getting the delivery notification, but also getting tired of having to delete every time. Its clogging my mailbox.
