problem with HTC Touch turning off
hi guys,
first time poster so be gentle. I've had a htc touch for a couple of months now, but i beleive it has a problem, if i leave it in my pocket etc it just powers down and i have to take the battery out and reinsert it to power it back up. Does anyone now how i can change my settings so this doesn't keep happening. Coz its really starting to P*** me off.

HI. My Supplier BT tell me, this is a known problem on all networks, the issue in now in hands with HTC.
It seems that even suppliers have to wait for HTC to come up with a solution. At the moment I have gone back to my old phone! An older HTC that is not as clever but does not go into a coma periodically.
BT told me that turning off Sleep mode might help, didn’t in my case but might be worth a try
You will need to follow the below path to find the setting
Settings
System
Power
Advanced
At this point uncheck the button marked "Turn off device if not used for"

But
BT also told me that it can reduce the battery life. Still worked fine (still with the power problem in my case ) with a good battery life on mine though. BT also said This is a temp fix HTC still have to deal

My god...i am amongst friends.... I sure have the same problem...It happened after 2 weeks of purchasing it. I took it to the HTC service shop and yep..he only took it out re insert and mumbled something about...the blue tooth being the culprit...it bruised my faith in HTC. But still i'm a HTC believer.
The best thing i could do is to plug it to my charger and turn it on. The jump start seemed to help for some reason. But if you are on the road....Last edited by zoolkifli; 06-27-2010 at 03:56 AM.
It is Allah who made your habitations homes of rest and quiet for you; and made for you, out of the skins of animals, (tents for) dwellings, which ye find so light (and handy) when ye travel and when ye stop (in your travels); and out of their wool, and their soft fibers (between wool and hair), and their hair rich stuff and articles of convenience (to serve you) for a time. SURAH 16 AN-NAHL (BEE), VERSE 80
