Thread: HTC 3600 problem, please help

I have just purchased a HTC 3600 from the UK I live in Western Europe, now tiny problem everytime I insert my sim card it says sim card is missing, anybody have any ideas why ?

and what is a legacy sim card ?

on another note, the sim card I already have can search the net and email etc. on my old phone but as soon as I insert it into a the new one same message "sim card missing" I also tried my husbands sim card, same provider and same message

so does anyone know why and what I can do ???

I am not sure what is the problem but I thought it had to do with the phone being locked to a carrier different from the SIM.

Sounds like you are SIM locked to a certain carrier. You have to unlock the sim.

some old sim cards on some providers just simple doesnt work with this phone.
u should change it with ur provider,
i think that service is free of charge or maybe euro or two...

hi there are many ways to unlock the mobile we can use
software ,cable ,codes etc.... among them codes are the best you can get the
codes from here Online GSM Unlock.com - Unlocking the HTC P3600 mobile phone here they ask the country from where you brought
the mobile because t-mobile is a provider for many countries .finally they ask the imei
number of the mobile and then they provide you the codes to unlock the mobile.
