    Exclamation HTC Internet

    Hi,
I got my HTC Wildfire S on Saturday and since I have had a few problems which I can't find solutions for on the internet.
Firstly, I would just like to know if when I press the "home" touch pad part below the screen, does this exit the internet completely? I am on a contract and I have limited internet usage and therefore I don't want to go over my limit by mistakenly leaving my phone on the internet.
Also, while on Facebook on my phone I noticed that there is not an option to delete a post via my HTC, is there any way of doing this? I would have thought there would be as older phones have this funtion?
    Any help would be great!!

I only got my Wildfire S on Saturday also... as I understand it you need to turn the internet on and off in
    :Wireless & Networks
    :Mobile network
    :tick/untick as required.

This will prevent connection and protect your limited internet usage.

So if I were to just exit the browser it would continue to use up my internet usage?
    That's a bit strange.

    Thanks for your help!

The Friend stream constantly updates and will do this when connencted.. as to how much usage of your allownace is used up I dont know.. The browser 'is' off I think when not on screen, so only data would be that used for your friends stream/social media updates or any email applications running in the background.

I have disabled my friend stream for now as I don't really look at it anyway, but I will pop into where I got my contract from on the weekend if I have a chance and see what they say.

    Thank you for your help

I was told in the store (vodaphone) I could use the internet up to 3 hours a day, but if I was worried I should turn it off, in the manner I have described.

If you're really that strapped for data allowance, don't forget that the weather page uses data to keep itself up to date.

Also, if you use any app that runs the GPS, don't assume that it doesn't use data access too. It has to get its maps from somewhere!
