unwanted data transfer
I got a call form my mobile operator today to let me know I've made an unusually high phone bill... It seems I've used up 300MB of data (over my plan limit) in one hour during the day which will cost me 150 euro. I didn't even touch the phone at the time they say data transfer was made. they say that it's probably the phone, updating something in the background without me knowing it... is that even possible?! I mean, 300MB?!
can I check somehow has that traffic really been made, and what it was?

Hi,
There isn't a lot you can do I don't think to check if the data was used. You can change a setting to ensure your phone won't install app updates unless you are on WiFi:
Open Android Market and press your menu button then select Settings. Ensure the tick box for "Update over WiFi only" is checked.
Other than that check which applications you have installed. It sounds to me like you have something dodgy installed that is using the connection. If you want to turn off background data entirley (so apps can only access the Internet when you are using them):
Go to settings > Accounts and sync and untick the background data tick box.
But as I say I would review what you have installed.
