Default Not able to open the Notifications panel from the status bar

    Hello everyone,

I seem to have a problem with my wildfire.

According to the instructions manual, I am supposed to be able to open the Notifications panel by pressing and holding the status bar. However, when I press on the status bar there is no response, and if i try to scroll down my finger most probably the phone will suggest me to remove the clock widget.

Any help on how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

I had exactly this problem, which I raised on another forum. It might be worth checking out whether you have the same issue with the 'q' key in landscape mode. Anyway, I ended up getting the phone replaced. I did send a support question to HTC and they suggested it needed recalibrating (Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Touch Input -> Text Input -> Calibration tool.), but by the time they replied I had already had it replaced.

    Hello Fred S,

I rarely used my phone in landscape mode, so I can't tell whether I had the same issue with the 'q' key. Calibration did not work so I contacted HTC who will check on my problem. I don't know which is the HTC policy in Greece in this case (repair or replace), so I am waiting for them to inform me when they check my phone.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

I found it difficult initially too, but try this and see if it makes a difference; instead of pressing on status bar, I just touch above it, almost right on the casing where the letters "htc" are, and then the notification bar appears.
    Hope it helps!

    Jimbo
