Thread: battery heats up and leaks

I alternatively use two identical batteries for my HTC Touch HD, both usually last around 36 hours of normal use. From one day to the next however the battery runs out in about 3 hours, and moreover the phone heats up considerably - also when hibernating.
As both batteries suddenly generate the same issue I am inclined to think the phone is at fault, and not the batteries.
I can't remember installing anything in the last few days nor dramatically changing a setting. When I check the taskmananager it shows zero programs running.


Any ideas on what could be wrong, or how to fix it without a complete reset?
