Thread: windows phone wont receive update

hi,
i have recently bought a htc 7 pro but i cant get it to update it is stuck on 7.0.7008.0 and cant find any newer updates. I have tried through zune but it just says up to date. Looking on bing(<-lol!) i can see this is a common problem with windows phone and the only solution is to force update it using zune following this method: Force Mango update early through Zune software and avoid frostbite | wpcentral | Windows Phone News, Forums, and Reviews. i have been trying this for a few days with absolutely no luck. I have tried many different timings and disabling flight mode etc. but it still doesn't work. Is there any other of getting the phone to see an update?? or anyway i can convince it to update?? It is really annoying having it stuck on this firmware as when i try to download apps etc it just say please update your software.

It is a factory unlocked htc 7 pro that is out of warranty.

I realise this should be posted in the htc 7 pro forum but i believe it will reach a larger audience in the main forum and is also a non device specific problem. Please help
