Thread: New to Windows Phone..PLEASE PLEASE HELP !!

I bought an HTC Radar yesterday. Its OS is Windows 7.5. I tried connecting it several times to my pc but everytime it gave Connection Error. I have Windows XP Professional SP2 installed on my system. The craziest thing is that, after connecting the phone to system via USB cable the green arrowed icon which notifies that "some external memory is being attached" appears at the lower right of desktop (at the Task-Bar). But nothing shows up in "My Computer". Even the software Zune is unable to detect my phone device. And my phone drivers are up to date, so there's no solution updating them. To make sure, I re-installed my drivers & Zune. Also, I tried rebooting both pc & phone but nothing changed. Somebody told me that this is an issue of computer's OS & to overcome it Win7 is essential as the drivers get updated. But while surfing through the internet I found that many buyers of this phone are having the same issue even in Win 7. Now I'm in a great doubt, should I compromise the installed softwares, important data & updates by formatting my computer to install Win 7 or bang my head on wall as I wasted so many bucks in buying this "insanely advanced" phone. Please help me people, I don't want to bleed !!
